Why dont Muslims speak out against terrorism?

As most of you all I am a democrat and support the democrat party but when it comes to terrorism and immigration I cant say I agree with the party so I pose this question to you all.

With so much negative publicity focused on terrorists striking in the name Islam, you would think there would be more Muslims speaking out against terror. They seem awfully quiet.

I realize I'm skating a fine line here and I don't want to sterotype....I know there are Muslims out there that don't agree with terror, but seriously, the voices of other Muslims could be very powerful to stop terror. Where are they?

Maybe they're afraid to. Look at whats been happening in Saudi Arabia ever since they started cracking down on terrorists. Suicide bombings and the likes of that all the time over there now.

I would say that in the Muslim "world", that is here and outside the country, they feel like why should they have to offer apologies for what a few do.
Do we offer apoligies to the world for what some sick guy does with two kids he has kidnaped and killed one of them.
If it wasn't them who done the deed I'm sure they feel like they shouldn't be held to make statements of how it is wrong. Just like we know how it is wrong to sexually abuse children and kill them but we don't have to say it to the world over and over again

I don't know, I know what i want to say but I just can't get it out by the written word. That probably doesn't make any since at all what I just said

yeah but its not one guy, There are hundreds of muslim terrorists and not to mention all the muslims that are not terrorists themselfs, but harbor terrorists, and lie for them

it isn't just one guy out there that abuses children either. Why should we expect the good Muslims to have to speak out about the Bad muslims?
That is just what I'm trying to get at. We are expecting the whole Muslim Community to give us an apology for what a few do and we should not expect that. It would be like me or you having to say I'm sorry everytime the news reports a missing child.

Fear of retaliation mostly. In most foreign lands, you can speak out. But how long you live after you do. Well that is what most don't or how many family members they lose, before they get took out.
One statement i will say. Saddam said i was popular when the U.S. wanted their war with Iran. I got power hungry and stepped on the wrong toes. But were things as bad now as they are now when i was in power. The U.S. knew they had me. Now they have no one. I am nothing. But what has been set on fire will not be easily put out.

I saw one of those 30 Days shows about this they sent a guy from West Va I think to a place in Detriot to live in a huge Muslim community. He talked to one of their preists and he said that they didnt support terriorism in any way but they didnt feel like they needed to apologize for something they didnt have anything to do with.

No it isn't. How do you get that?
That is like saying Christanity is based on violence. you have extreemenist in all religions.
